A Dear Friend Lost

"ROSE'S FAITH" by Robbie K. Burger 1996 (retitled 2010) All rights reserved.

Rose is gone too young

I have loved Rose E. Parabutes as if she were my own daughter. I have delighted in her artistic accomplishments and her unique approach to life.

She is no longer with us. She passed away February 19th, 2011. I have been missing her since.

Rose was considered to have been disabled as she was autistic, but she was able to compensate for that presumed disability by concentrating on the positive gifts with which she was endowed
.
She was only 29 years old when she left us, but she had already demonstrated a prodigious artistic eye and an insatiable desire to express herself with graphic art.

I had the great pleasure of working with her for nearly two years as she used my computer to perfect her digital capabilities. Then a year ago she acquired her own computer. We continued to work together and she kept her computer next to mine on the same network.

She relied on me to instruct her with what I knew, but her interest was in fractal art and that was not directly related to my artistic interest. However she allowed me to have her original work and I now posess about 100 of her digital designs. We had already established a presence for her at http://www.designerscarvesbymarlena.com.

I now propose to add more of her work to that site with the hope of establishing a fund in her name that will use proceeds from the sale of her work produced on silk to help promote artistic expression among all young people.

Rose’s life attests to the value of artistic expression. It is what made life worth living for her and I wish to raise a tribute to her memory that will benefit others whose paths are parallel to hers.

Please visit her catalog page at: http://www.designerscarvesbymarlena.com/Meet Rose Parabutes.html

All money above costs will be accumulated until there is enough to establish a foundation in her name.

My best wishes to all who read this,
